Landscapes for Life
Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) are some of the UK’s most cherished and outstanding landscapes.
If you spot any of our target species around the lower Wye Valley, downstream of Monmouth, please complete this form as fully as you can (some questions are marked as ‘required’) and submit that to us as soon as possible.
A note regarding Himalayan balsam. We’re very aware of how prolific this pest plant is along the riverbanks of the Wye, but if you know of patches of balsam in the upper catchments – in fields, woodlands, gardens, hedgerows and footpaths above the River Wye – we’re very keen to receive your report. This species will only be effectively controlled by working from the most upstream/uphill locations downstream/downhill. Do get in touch if you’d like to know more about this approach.
A note regarding landowner information. If you know the landowner, please do recommend that they get in touch with us as soon as possible. If you are the landowner, please complete this form together with the Consent Form (Access and INNS Control) so that we can fully assess how we might be able to support you.
