Local flavours
What better way to enjoy the full experience of this beautiful country area
than by developing a healthy appetite for fresh, local food. By feasting on the
delights of the Wye Valley, you'll also be helping the area's farmers,
keeping the valley a living, working landscape.
You'll find wholesome local fare in many of the area's pubs, hotels and restaurants - and look out for cafes and tea gardens offering traditional afternoon tea and home-baked cakes.
Stock up on free-range eggs, local fruit and vegetables - some organically grown, cheeses, local cider and liquors, wine, mead, traditionally-made bread and home-made cakes, Herefordshire beef, Wye Valley lamb, pickles and preserves prepared from locally grown fruit and vegetables.
