
inside OUT is a project devised by the Wye Valley AONB Unit to address the problems that certain sections of the community have in accessing the Wye Valley landscape.

In 2009 the first insideOUT site was established at Bracelands in Gloucestershire in partnership with the Forestry Commission. The outside creative space was officially opened and a sculptured seat Wyeman by sculptor Matthew West was unveiled. In 2010 a new site was established in partnership with Forestry Commission Wales at Whitestone Monmouthshire. A series of taster workshops were held at the beginning of 2011 by Arts Alive and facilitator Miranda Thomason with sessions in poetry, art and creative writing. Groups included

The Wye Valley AONB Unit is now in the process of applying for a Heritage Lottery Grant for the provision of funding for a specialised worker to take the project forward and establish a third creative space in Herefordshire.
