An exciting chance to visit our latest project – Birches Farm
A chance to explore this beautiful traditional farm of meadow and pasture with Reserves Officer Jim Light.
Birches Farm is not yet open to the public - we are currently raising funds to make the site more accessible so this is an exclusive opportunity to see the farm and its wonderful wildflower meadows.
Guided Walks will run on:
Wednesday 20th May, 2pm – 4pm
Wednesday 27th May, 2pm – 4pm
Wednesday 3rd June, 2pm – 4pm
Places are limited so booking is essential. Call Herefordshire Wildlife Trust on 01432 356872 or email email@example.com
We are currently fundraising via ‘Just Giving’ to complete our purchase of the farm, restore the buildings and make it fully accessible to the local community and visitors to the area. Our vision for the farm is of a place which both inspires and educates. As well as building strong partnerships with local schools, we will run training courses and rural crafts courses in skills such as hedge-laying and scything. There will be programmes of guided walks and talks while the farm will provide a venue for community and fundraising events. Bioblitz and WildPlay camping sessions will become an annual feature of the summer months, building memories that will last a lifetime.
